customer field

we have a lot of customers(requests can come from either our folks or from someone with the customers email) and would like to be able to sort our tickets by customer and to easily be able to pull up all tickets from a particular customers issues to know the past of the particular customer.

I tried using a custom field with a dropdown of a list of customers but there is no sorting, no ability to add it to grid or searching by a custom field.


Level 2 Support: 


You can easily sort the tickets grid by the "Requester" column.

The customer history is available in the right column for when viewing any ticket.
