Why doesn't SSL work with host mapping?

We frequently receive the question why SSL doesn't with the host mapping feature. The main reason is that with the host mapping the helpdesk uses your domain or subdomain name and our SSL certificate works only for *.estreamdesk.com. We also cannot get an SSL certificate that will work for your domain.

The only way to make this work would be if you send us a certificate for your domain and we install it on our servers for your account. This will also require that we purchase a dedicated IP address for your helpdesk. We do plan supporting this scenario when we have some paid plans down the road.
